Design proposal for a 1.2-kilometre long public boardwalk linking to the existing Labrador Nature Reserve. In order to minimise disruption to the natural habitat, a 'top-down' construction method is proposed to ensure zero contact between heavy piling machinery and substratum of the sensitive mangrove environ. The working platform itself forms the structural foundation of the permanent boardwalk and no additional temporary structures are necessary throughout the course of construction.
